You can now download version 1.0 of this fabulous plugin. Start your auctions people!
Please be warned that you DO NOT NEED TO DE-ACTIVATE YOUR PLUGIN, SIMPLY OVERWRITE v1.0 ON YOUR BLOG IF YOU WERE A BETA-TESTER. De-activating the plugin will cause you to lose your auctions. Simply overwrite the entire folder and it will work.
So, after 3 weeks of back and forth emails with beta testers, a lot of tea, and doing some of our own bug fixing we’re finally live with v1.0 of WP Auctions. The plugin has undergone some serious testing and we can safely say that we do not see anymore errors happening.
However, due to the very nature of WordPress the plugin may still need some extra attention. That’s because this is just not any plugin, weighing it at 105KB it is pretty much a small application. A very complex one at that.
So please download the latest version, simply overwrite your present plugin if you were a beta tester, and let us know how you like it. We’ve worked for months on this and hope you enjoy it.
Hi, I received the beta version, but didn’t have time to setup until today. Just uploaded the public version and it looks terrific!
I don’t really have feedback on the auction as a sidebar widget, but what we’re trying to use it for is a non-profit silent art auction. Not sure sure if you’d considered this for a phase II/III, but it’d be awesome if there was a way to display multiple auctions on a page. I had to grab a PHP plugin to post the widget in a page and because it was designed for a sidebar, the borders blow out a bit and there’s a bunch of white space. This is obviously adapting the purpose, but from my research you’re the only ones offering something like it, which is great!
So, just something to ponder during tea time. I’d love the ability to select multiple auctions for display in a post.
Thank you and keep up the fantastic work!
doh! I’m going to go repost this in the Feature Request… =)
Rhea, we love tea! My favorite is Irish and Scottish Breakfast from Taylors of Harrogate.
We’ll definitely consider your input for future releases.
Thanks for using our plugin! 😀
Hyder, thanks for the fast response. I love tea, too, especially the breakfast group. I wonder if there’s a correlation between WordPress users, auctions and tea? 😉
Looking forward to future releases and thanks again for a great plugin.
